Abdumajitova Aziza was born with a congenital heart disease. Due to her very poor state of health, she often ended up in the intensive care unit of the hospital; it happened that a child had to be hospitalized 3-4 times a month due to an acute lack of oxygen. To save her life, an urgent and complex operation was required.
The Aziza family turned for help to the Sen Yolg’iz Emassan Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva Foundation (“You Are Not Alone”). In July 2018, with the financial support of the Fund, the girl and her mother were sent to France, where she was operated on by the leading French heart surgeon Olivier Baron.
The operation was successful. After a month-long course of postoperative rehabilitation in a pediatric clinic in Nantes, Aziza returned home as a healthy child. Soon the baby will be five years old and she grows up as a very smart and intelligent child, and in the future she also dreams of becoming a doctor and saving the hearts of people.
Up to date, with the financial support of the Sen Yolg’iz Emassan Foundation (You Are Not Alone), leading French physicians have performed more than 110 complicated heart operations for children from Mercy houses and low-income families in Uzbekistan, 21 of which were performed in France in a pediatric Clinic of Nantes
